Hiking Part 3

On the 4th day of our hike we left at 8 and started to hike up Mt. Washington. It was not a hard climb because the hut was already halfway up the mountain. When we got to the top we were the only people there. We stayed there for a while and more people came. We left around 9:45 and hiked back down the way we came. But before we hit the hut we took a side trail for about 3 miles until we hit boot spur trail. It was really foggy. We were in a cloud almost the whole hike. You could not see more than 20 feet away so it seemed like we were in the middle of nowhere. We than got on boot spur and hiked the rest of the way to Pickham Notch camp. The way down was really hard because it was all rocks and all the rocks were wet and slippery because of the cloud. We hiked for 8 hours that day and 7 miles. The next morning I was so tired and my legs were stiff. We drove home and it took us 6 hours to drive home even though it was supposed to take 4 hours. And that was all my hike.
