Today we went hiking in a forest in North Stonington and walked for about two and a half miles. We found a lake with a beaver dam in the middle. The lake was frozen over, about one inch deep. The water around the beaver dam was not frozen because the beaver cracked the ice around the dam.
Beavers are pretty smart animals. I think their homes are pretty cool.
