Secret Passageway

I walked through the rows of bookshelves and thought of what book I should take out. ”I guess I should look in the history section,” I said to myself. I walked through the aisle until something caught my eye; a piece of paper  sticking out of a World War I book. I pulled the book out and opened to the page with the paper sticking out of it. The page was about underground secret roads crisscrossing around the USA. I opened the folded piece of paper and it said in quill ink aisle 2, on the left, row 1, book number 863.

“What could this mean?” I said. “I guess I will  check that book out to see what it is about.” I went to aisle 2 and then to the left, then to row 1, and searched for book number 863. I found the book and the title said Dungeons and Secret Passageways. I pulled the book out a little then stopped. A bookshelf moved over and a secret trail opened. I checked to make sure no one saw, but everyone was frozen in place. ”No way!” I muttered.

I walked down the dark passageway and followed a trail that led to a prison. Most people in the cages were dead but some were barely alive. The were all very old. They must have been from World War I. “Is this a prison for World War I soldiers?” I asked. Someone replied by saying ”Shhhhh, it will hear you,” ”What,” I replied, but it didn’t matter anymore. I knew I was too late.

I heard a low growl than out of the darkness came a three-headed giant dog. “Impossible,” I said. “No,” It replied. Now I was really wondering what the heck was going on here. “You can’t kill me,” It said. ”Oh really,” I said and quickly grabbed a torch and put it in front of the dog.

”I got fire and dogs don’t like fire!” I chucked the torch at it, but the fire went out and the stick hit the dog and made it dizzy. I grabbed  another torch and chucked it at the dog, but this time it didn’t go out, it hit the dog and started to burn the dog.”Awoooooooo,” the dog cried. The prisoner that had talked to me said ”RUN!!!!”. But it was useless. A whole pack of three-headed giant dogs came running after me. I ran for the exit and when I got back in the library, the bookshelf slammed shut and time un-froze. ”Yes!” I sighed with relief. Then my best friend Anthony came over and said ”What?”. ”Nothing” I replied. The End.
